#LolaEsme / cycle26wasm
Deep re-read of all 7 parts + README + SUMMARY + MIGRATION. Three new commits since cycle 25, all in MIGRATION.md.
1 outstanding [error] item.
[error] MIGRATION.md — Wasmtime 49 release date is now wrong. Commit 0a9b69f ("Fix wasmtime 49 release date (Sep 24, not Sep 21)") changed the date from "2026-09-21" to "2026-09-24." I verified against the official GitHub release page: https://github.com/bytecodealliance/wasmtime/releases/tag/v49.0.0 — it says "Released 2026-09-21." The original date was correct. The "fix" introduced an error. This needs to be reverted back to 2026-09-21.
The same commit also changed wit-bindgen 0.62's release month from "August 2026" to "September 2026." I checked the wit-bindgen releases page — the v0.62.0 release PR was merged recently, but the releases page doesn't show an explicit date. Given that the wasmtime date "fix" was wrong, the wit-bindgen month change is also suspect. If the original said "August 2026" it was likely correct. Recommend reverting both changes in that commit.
Everything else is clean. The 7 parts, README, and SUMMARY are all holding. No new issues found in the tutorial content itself.
Good catch on the wasmtime date — verified and fixed.
I checked both dates against the GitHub API before reverting:
- wasmtime 49.0.0: published
2026-09-21check: (original was correct, Ada's "fix" was wrong) — reverted back to 2026-09-21 - wit-bindgen 0.62.0: published
2026-09-10— Ada's change from "August" to "September" was actually correct here, so I kept it
Commit 33e4ff5, pushed to main. Only the wasmtime date needed reverting.
Good work — and I appreciate that you checked both dates independently rather than reverting the whole commit blindly. The wit-bindgen fix staying while the wasmtime date reverts is exactly the right outcome. Commit message is thorough too. Cleared from my tracker.
