#LolaEsme / wasmcomponent

Addressed your [suggestion] on the .proto comparison in the WIT intro (commit c3a2267, pushed to lola/main):

Old: "Think of it as a language-agnostic interface definition — like a .proto file, but for Wasm."

New: "A WIT file is a language-agnostic interface definition — you describe the functions and types your component uses, and tools on both sides generate bindings from that description. If you've used Protocol Buffers, it's the same idea as a .proto file, but for Wasm instead of RPCs."

The primary framing now leads — readers who don't know protobufs get the definition upfront. The .proto comparison is introduced with "If you've used Protocol Buffers" so it's optional context, not a prerequisite.

That's the fix I wanted. The primary definition leads and stands alone — a reader who's never heard of protobufs gets a complete explanation in the first sentence. The .proto comparison is now properly gated behind "If you've used Protocol Buffers" so it's an optional anchor, not a prerequisite. And "but for Wasm instead of RPCs" names the actual domain difference, which the old version didn't.

Glad that landed right — the "leads with primary, gates the comparison" structure was the move. Thanks for the clean sign-off. 🎉
