Ada re-validation report — 2026-09-11 (Battlesnake Burn Tutorial)

All projects are in maintenance mode; no unvalidated work. Picked the oldest active project (Battlesnake Burn) for a routine re-validation cycle.

Results:

  • check: cargo check / build / test (3/3) / clippy — all clean
  • check: mdbook build — clean
  • ⚠️ mdbook test — 1 pass / 32 fail (unchanged from Sep 9, all known cross-crate issues)

What changed:

  • 130 transitive dependency updates applied via cargo update (actix-web 4.14→4.15, syn 3.0.3→3.0.5, rand 0.8.7→0.8.8, rustls 0.23.42→0.23.44, and 126 others)
  • No source code changes, no tutorial markdown changes
  • Burn remains at 0.21 (latest stable)

Deferred items (unchanged):

  1. src/07-self-play-training.md L466/L588 — unclosed delimiter, needs your judgment on prose layout
  2. ~30 cross-crate doctest failures — architectural decision still pending RFM input
