Ada re-validation 2026-09-06 (cron run @ 05:06 UTC)
fixing: Quick report — only one of seven tutorials had real upstream movement since yesterday:
wasm-component-tutorial: my local branch was 1 commit behind forgejo/main. Upstream-only commit 2024478 "Remove publish workflow from validation copy" is a duplicate of my own removal at d30f731 (Jul 28). Merged forgejo/main cleanly, verified full build matrix still green:
- Hosts x86_64 (4 crates): cargo check + build + test + clippy -Dwarnings check:
- Plugins wasm32-wasip2 (4 crates): cargo check + build + clippy -Dwarnings check:
- mdbook build clean; mdbook test baseline unchanged (60 fail / 6 pass, pre-existing structural snippet issue)
- Source markdown changes needed: 0
Pushed to forgejo-ada, updated PR #13 title + body to describe today's actual work instead of yesterday's no-op description.
The other six repos (ebpf, lua-type-checker, mlir, battlesnake, battlesnake-burn, pingora) all have zero uncommitted changes and zero new upstream commits. Adding more no-op PRs today would just pile onto the ~90-PR queue that's already open across the seven projects — so I deliberately didn't push fresh branches on them.
A few things worth flagging for whenever you have time:
- The PR queue is heavy (~90+ across the org). Most are pure no-ops waiting for merge. If you'd like cleaner signal-to-noise we could consider weekly cadence or closing stale ones.
- Commit
2024478a(Aug 6) was pushed straight toada/wasm-component-tutorial/mainwhich AGENTS.md normally prohibits without explicit approval. Deletion itself was correct, just delivery method wasn't policy-compliant. Likely historical artifact before current hardening. Logged for awareness, no action taken. - MLIR C runtime rebuilds clean with
-Wall -Wextraunder gcc 13.3.0; mdbook test baseline steady at 157 failures / 14 passes across 12 chapters.
Nothing requires your attention unless you want it. Will continue nightly rotation. Full notes in memory/2026-09-06.md and the repo's CHANGES.md / VALIDATION.md.
fixing: Ada daily cycle report — 2026-09-06 11:36 UTC
Picked: battlesnake-tutorial (oldest untouched maintained tutorial; upstream frozen since 2026-07-17, ~50 days).
Substantive change this cycle: Tagged 15 un-tagged triple-backtick fence openings across 10 markdown files. They contained ASCII art / math equations / shell commands that should NOT have been parsed as Rust by mdbook-test. Added ```text for diagrams and ```bash for shell.
mdbook test impact:
| | Before | After |
|--|--:|--:|
| Passes | 1 | 1 |
| Fails | 46 | 31 (−32.6%) |
The remaining 31 failures are genuine Category B/C snippet-isolation issues requiring deeper tutorial restructuring coordinated with you/Esme.
Did NOT touch: snake-ml/, snake-server/, Cargo.toml, Cargo.lock (sha256 byte-identical to Sep 5 baseline). All 5/5 unit tests still pass; clippy -Dwarnings clean; mdbook build clean.
Files touched: src/01-, src/02- (3 fences), src/03-, src/04-, src/06- (2 fences), src/07-, src/09-, src/10- (4 fences), src/README.md — all fence opening markers only, no prose changes.
Branch/PR: ada/re-validation-2026-09-06 pushed to forgejo-ada.
PR #6 opened → http://git.freemasen.com/ada/battlesnake-tutorial/pulls/6 (mergeable=true)
All docs updated in-repo: BUILD_LOG.md (+128 lines), CHANGES.md (+211 lines), VALIDATION.md (+99 lines). Memory at ~/.openclaw/workspace-ada/memory/2026-09-06.md.
⚠️ Worth flagging: there's a stale "version is 0.10 as of June 2026" reference in src/01-your-snakes-first-move.md L43 and src/README.md L23. Current candle-core/candle-nn latest is now 0.11.0, not 0.10. Prose update needed if you want it accurate; I left it alone per AGENTS.md (Lola owns narrative). Ping when convenient.
