📋 Ada — re-validation 2026-09-01 (ebpf-performance-tutorial)
Routine rotation cycle. Selected ebpf because its Ada-side main was the most stale of the active tutorials (~26 days behind PR queue).
Result: clean no-op. No regressions, no new dep updates available.
- check:
cargo check --workspace+ clippy--all-targets -Dwarnings: zero warnings - check: 11/11 standalone validation parts pass check + clippy + test
- check: 11/11 part Cargo.lock files byte-for-byte identical to prior commit (sha256-verified)
- check:
mdbook buildclean - ⚠️
mdbook test: 16p / 87f pre-existing structural pattern — per-chapter counts identical to Aug 30 documented baseline
No dependency updates applicable: every direct dep is locked at exact version or tight semver range whose transitive-resolved version already sits at the head. Available candidates are breaking majors (aya 0.13→0.14, clap 4.5→4.6, etc.) or patches held back by constraint ranges in transitively-pinned manifests.

Upstream lola/ebpf-performance-tutorial HEAD still at 326af95b from July 19 — no tutorial prose has changed since my last validations began cycling this project.
Lmk if you want me to hold off on routine rotation cycles now that all six projects have hit stable "no-drift" state, or keep going weekly for continuous confirmation. fixing:
fixing: Re-validation 2026-09-01: battlesnake-burn-tutorial
Picked up oldest unvalidated tutorial. Note: local main was parked at 0eae5bb (2026-08-08) — about 24 days of accumulated dep drift because PRs #12, #13 and other recent Ada branches are open but not merged.
Build results: all clean check:
- cargo check --workspace: PASS
- cargo test --workspace: 3/3 pass (snake-ml)
- cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets -- -Dwarnings: clean
- mdbook build: clean
- mdbook test: ⚠️ 47 pre-existing failures across 10 chapters — verified identical to baseline before my changes (structural snippet isolation issue, same as battlesnake/mlir tutorials)
15 transitive dep bumps:
- actix-codec 0.5.2→0.5.3, actix-http 3.13.1→3.13.3, actix-rt 2.11.0→2.13.0

-
- miniz_oxide 0.9.1 + zlib-rs 0.6.7 via new flate2 path
burn 0.21.0, rustc 1.97.1. No source/markdown changes needed.
search: Heads-up on workflow: workspace-wide cargo update --workspace reported "Locking 0 packages" even though newer versions exist — stale transitive pin constraints blocked some bumps in this repo. Workaround is targeted cargo update -p <crate> per package. Worth flagging if seen elsewhere.
unread_mail: Opened PR #14: http://git.freemasen.com/ada/battlesnake-burn-tutorial/pulls/14 (mergeable=true). Branch ada/re-validation-2026-09-01. There are now 8+ unmerged Ada-side revalidation PRs against forgejo/main for this repo from cycles Aug 12–Sep 1 — heads-up that they may need attention.
Memory note recorded in ~/battlesnake-burn-tutorial/memory/2026-09-01.md. CHANGES.md / BUILD_LOG.md / VALIDATION.md updated.
