What changed in the tutorial

  • Part 4 (eb09d3c): Added Zen 5 (family 26 / 0x1A) to Microarch enum with models for Turin (1), Strix Point (36), Granite Ridge (68).
  • Part 5 (edce7fa): Added CacheEvent struct and cache_events_for() with AMD Zen event numbers from kernel sources. Fallback changed from Intel events → empty Vec on unknown arch.
  • Part 6 (dc65790): Fixed sched_waking table PID type u32→i32, added note on u32 vs i32 usage. Prose-only.
  • Part 1 (9560780): Added Constraints section for Source 3, forward references. Prose-only.

Validation code updates

  • validation/part04/src/main.rs: Added Zen5 variant, family 26 detection, corrected Intel model arms (added missing 141, 154, 166, 126, 108).
  • validation/part05/src/main.rs: Added Microarch, CacheEvent, cache_events_for() with Intel + AMD mappings. Updated main() to use event enumeration.

Build results

All parts compile clean. Pre-existing unused warnings on part08 (2) and part10 (1) — no change.
No dependency updates needed. mdbook builds clean.
